Monday Meditation/Yoga Nidra

Happy Monday! I hope y'all had a fabulous weekend. If you did anything fun and exciting, tell me about it in the comments. I/we went car shopping for my husband (The Man) to get a "new to him" new car....fun, fun....(insert sarcasm, lol)

Today's meditation is a short Yoga Nidra practice. You can find it on YouTube by clicking the link here

Yoga Nidra is not exactly a meditation although it can be very meditative. It takes you that hypogenic state between sleep and wakefulness. A half hour Yoga Nidra practice can give you the same restfulness as four hours of sleep. There are some Yoga Nidra practices that are for deep and restful sleep, if you need them. You can find them on many of the various music and video channels. If you would like any recommendations, let me know.

To prepare for today's practice, find a comfortable, quiet place without distractions, where you can remain undisturbed. Yoga Nidra is best practiced lying down. You might like to use a light covering or soft pillow for this practice. Once you have found your space, let your Yoga Nidra practice begin.

Drop a line below or in the YouTube comments and let me know what you think of Yoga Nidra. Is it a practice that you would like to visit again, maybe for a little bit longer?

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Jai Bhagwan,

Janet

Yoga Nidra is not exactly a meditation, though it can be very meditative. Yoga Nidra takes you to the hypogenic state between being awake and asleep. There are some Yoga Nidra practices that are designed to help you fall asleep and sleep deeply, if that is what you need. You can many on YouTube, ITunes, and Amazon Music. If you do fall asleep during this practice, that's okay. It just means that it is exactly what your body needs today.

Find yourself a comfortable, quiet place without distractions, where you won't be disturb, and you can lie down to begin your practice. You might like to have a light covering or soft pillow for this practice.
